Breakfast of champions?

The breakfast menu offers, among the cooked dishes, "Parisian breakfast". If pushed, I would have guessed that rhe classic Parisian breakfaast is a p'tit noir and a Gauloise. But the Fell Hotel interprets it differently.

A croissant with garlic cream cheese, smoked salmon and scrambled egg. I wasn't convinced that these flavours would play nicely together, but I had to find out. Sadly, I was right first time - though you might get away with it if your croissant was absolutely perfect, hot and flaky, which this one wasn't.

Still, je ne regrette rien...

Actually, my memory was at fault: it was cream cheese and chive (though this was not obvious from the taste). But still, no.
