It's a long time since I read Fat is a Feminist Issue, and I couldn't tell you much about it now. Parts of it set me thinking, parts of it I wanted to argue with, much of it I was impressed by.

A Guardian interview earlier this week reveals that author Susie Orbach refers to the book as 'Fifi'. I may never see it the same way again.

It seems inevitable to refer to it that way if you've ever made notes on or written about the book.

Fair enough. Certainly it's logical, which is why, having once seen it, I can't lose the idea.

I didn't notice it until I was making notes on it but, as you say, once you've seen it you can't unsee it. And it does feel amusingly inappropriate.
