I don't know, you write a profound meditation on Life, the Universe and Everything, and nobody reacts; you announce that you are de-frosting your freezer, and you f-list can't contain its excitement: comments, a phone-call, even a face to face enquiry (from [livejournal.com profile] weegoddess, who I met this morning in Marks & Spencers, while out buying goodies to re-stock the freezer). Obviously, I wouldn't post about things if I didn't think they were worth posting about, but I admit I thought the main point of this post was so that I would know when I last defrosted the freezer ("What? You mean I have to do this every year?")

Thank you all, then, for your support and encouragement; defrosting was successfully completed before dinner last night, contents remained sufficiently froxen to be returned to the freezer, with only one exception - we felt it was wiser to eat the remains of the chocolate ice cream. Farmers' Market this morning was quiet - a dreary grey morning, everyone complaining of the cold, more than they do on colder mornings when it's dry and bright. I'll tell you how quiet it was, for much of the time there was no queue at the vegetable stall. We bought our month's supply of meat, had a flying concersation with Bryan and Mary who had come through from Sunderland to do likewise, and came home, mission accomplished.

That is so good. I shall refer to it as the I Like Cheese problem from now on.

;-D

I find that this is true of posts that are of profundity v. rants and whines. I can post amazing stuff (IMO) and few people seem to care. I post a rant or a whine and the whole world comments. It's amusing.

And I was extremely tickled to be able to ask you in person how your freezer was doing. It was a lovely example of Community.
