We are spending this week at Pitmedden Garden, in Aberdeenshire. The garden is magnificent; the house, a nineteenth century replacement for an earlier one which burned down, is also very splendid, but to no-one's surprise its internet is shaky. So much so, in fact, that I'm going to park this here as a placeholder, and go and do something more profitable.
