I have not posted very much in the last few weeks. This isn't because I have nothing to say (as if!) but because I have been too busy doing things to write about them. Which is a good problem to have, but manages to feel like a problem nonetheless. This is not the missing post, but a statement of intent, a promise that I would at least like to write a bout -

• Following steepholm's talk about Howl's Moving Castle, I carried on rereading the sequels...


• S's birthday party was a happy afternoon event, food and drink and conversation, much of it about how long it was since we'd done this, and how we had coped, or not coped, without it. Back home, it was still early evening, and we searched the tv listings for a suitable film - and came up with Double Dynamite


• We finally kept the lunch date in Barnard Castle which we had cancelled back in 2020 when lockdown was introduced. Nothing in particular to say about that - other than that we had a lovely time - but it ought to be placed on the record. We also paid an in-person visit to Andalucia, our friendly neighbourhood cheesemonger. who have been bringing good things to our door in the interim.

Will I ever write them? Or will I be distracted by other plans, not to mention domestic trivia? Certainly, we have other plans, and no shortage of domestic trivia. But oh, I would like to write those posts -

Oh, good! I'm glad you like them - I have more photos, because I thought they were wonderful.
