Daggers at dawn
Jun. 30th, 2006 09:48 amAt eleven o' clock last night, towards the end of last night's posting, the embargo expired on the announcement of the winners of the Crime Writers' Association's Dagger awards, and I took a break to upload the good news that:
Ann Cleeves has won the Duncan Lawrie Dagger for Raven Black.
This is excellent news: Ann's a good friend, and I'm delighted for her, but she's also a terrific writer, and deserves to be better known, and this is a well-deserved boost for her. I said how much I liked Raven Black in a review for Incorporating Writing (which is still on-line, but only as an rtf download: if you want to read it, search the file for "Raven Black").
