Yesterday's fish delivery was accompanied by an apology ("Sorry, we've recalculated ...") and a 30p refund, two coins in an envelope. [personal profile] durham_rambler suggests I ought to quarantine the coins for a few days before using them. Not a problem: when did I last use cash? Three months ago, easily.

But I don't think the fish would be improved by quarantine, andd it has gone straight into the freezer (except for t he smoked salmon which we opened for lunch, and the sea bass we had for dinner). I know people who wipe down everyrthing that comes into the house, or put things somewhere secluded for a day or so, and occasionally I wonder whether I should do this too. But I know my limitations.

Apparently the World Health Organisation now recommends that the over-60s should wear medical-grade face masks when distancing is not possible: I'd rather take the WHO's advice than the government's. I'm beginning to wonder where appropriate masks can be obtained ...

They pretty much can't.

The WHO is forgetting having done this juddering about turn that medical grade masks are needed for medics!

It is was anyone else but Trump yelling about the WHO I suspect people would be more inclined to accept what a useless bunch they are!
