Not exactly a stroll in the park

While the Botanic Gardens are closed -
- Sigh. The decision was taken before the weekend, so it isn't because the gardens were overcrowded at the weekend. I don't know if they were afraid of an overload, or whether it was a problem of access (through staffed points) or just the University deciding to treat all its museums and attractions alike. Anyway -
- the Head Gardener has been mailing out a photo a day of things that caught his eye. I wondered if there was any way of sharing these, and now the Friends of the Garden have made a blog page with all the photos on it.
I particularly like today's (day 6), a seat in the sunshine by a bank of daffodils just coming into bloom.
