Greeting the New Year

As ever, we saw in the New Year quietly with valydiarosada and D; and on New Year's Day we went to the seaside. We abandoned Plan A (Seaham) as we weren't sure how much would be open, and gave up on Plan B (Tynemouth) when we couldn't find anywhere to park: it was a beautiful bright day, and much of Tyneside had headed for the coast. Plan C (just keep going to North Shields) was entirely satisfactory: we strolled along the Fish Quay and lunched on fish and chips, and I'd be happy for 2020 to contain more days like that.

The picture seems to sum it up. The people are not anyone I know, they just posed obligingly where I wanted them.
