Mundane dreams

I dreamed I was buying a face flannel; it had a Moomin design on it.

I do not actually need a new face flannel: I have several, some of them never used. It is true that the one I am currently using is disintegrating, and I am sad about this, because it is my favourite: a present from GirlBear, it brightens my mornings with its cheerful sunshine orange and its smart black and white border.

The one in my dream was nothing like as bright; it was white, with Moomins in insipid blue and pink. Even in the dream, I thought "Ugh, pastels," before I thuught "Yes, but Moomins!"

Dream-self, can't you aim higher than this?

..do I not recall that Moomins are white (though that might not work so well on a white background); and that it was the Snork Maiden who changed colour - an emotional response - and was a little embarrassed about it?

These were outlines of white figures on a white background; I did not at the time regard the colour choices as significant - I mean, I didn't read it as blue for a boy and pink for a girl, I just thought pastels! boring!

But who knows what my dreaming mind was up to!
