We are at the Little Fox hotel in darkest Cornwall, connected to their rather half-hearted wifi, and [personal profile] durham_rambler is trying to contact the rest of the wedding party, to find out where we ought to be. This is complicated by the facts that a) [personal profile] durham_rambler's phone is out of charge, and will only work if he plugs it into the electricity, and b) we have a case of wine to deliver to the venue. So we can't go out and start partying until those things have been resolved.

Yesterday was a long drive down motorways, not interesting, but improved immensely once we reached my cousins' house, and settled on their patio with cups of tea and later glasses of wine, while we waited for more cousins to arrive and join us for dinner (and, indeed, breakfast).

Today's drive involved less motorway driving but more traffic. We stopped for lunch at Ilminster, because Ilmister was the next place we came to, but it was a pleasant stop and provided all we needed, though the lunch itself was provided rather more slowly than we would have liked. For this and other reasons, by the time we found the pub which was the designated centre of operations, after driving through twisty lanes which we really shouldn't have driven a car down, the party had moved on. People may have been rehearsing the ceremony, which is apparently a thing people do. What we saw of the village looked very pretty, and I'd be happy to revisit it, leaving the car in a car park.

If we can just make contact...
