Chocolate is not the only fruit

My friend S. contributes this photo from a recent trip to Paris: banners slung across the street outside the Oxfam shop (because, yes, Paris now has an Oxfam shop) proclaim that the Earth is the only planet with chocolate, and we should preserve it.

I'm amused, but maybe not quite as charmed as I would be at another time of year. Easter is too recent, and I am still irritated by the way that Easter is now All About the Chocolate: the cookery supplements all went into chocolate overdrive, and as for the shops... Easter eggs are all well and good (well, no, in fact they aren't, they are a way of making you pay more for less chocolate, but that'a another rant) but the seasonal aspect is the egg, not the chocolate.

So here's a reminder of the true meaning of Easter: it's a spring festival, it's all about the knitted daffodils.
