She Who Must Be Obeyed

Saturday's Guardian carries an interview with Ben Schott, in the course of which the interviewer wonders whether his attention to detail might be the tiniest bit - shall we say "obsessive"? He responds with this joke:

"Knock knock."
"Who's there?"
"Control freak. Now you say control freak who!"

That's the punch line, and I thought it was pretty good, so I passed it on to durham_rambler, with about as much explanation as I've given here:

shewhomust:"Knock knock."
durham_rambler:"Who's there?"
shewhomust:"Control freak. Now you say control freak who!"
durham_rambler (obediently): Control freak who?"

Clearly he sees nothing exceptional in this sort of instruction; he's well trained.
