Jul. 20th, 2012 11:31 amThe queen came to lunch in Durham this week. The Durham Times prints the menu:
ceviche of salmon with beetroot carpaccio, kohlrabi salad and chilli caviar, home-smoked fillet of West Rackwood Farm beef served with epicure potato, cep dauphine, Lanchester asparagus and horseradish tuille, and Plawsworth strawberry delice with Langley Farm yoghurt sorbet and blood orange jelly.Let's not carp about the spelling. Isn't it a bit late for asparagus?
