The rule of the house is: It's not a cat toy, it's a fetish. That's what klwilliams said as she rescued another small decorative item from Mac; "That's a rule of the house," said desperance. So it must be.

The rule of the road is: Speed enforced by aircraft. The signs on Highway 101 say so; we never saw it happening, though (I don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed).

The "enforced by aircraft" signs always make me think of impending missile strikes or laser beams, but that's probably not what they meant -- yet, but wait until the prices come down.

But it doesn't say 'speed limit enforced', it says 'speed enforced', as if the task of the aircraft is to ensure you don't dawdle.

Oh! I missed that the word "limit" was missing. That's differently disturbing. :-)
