Mr Thompson presents...
Jun. 15th, 2010 11:44 amThanks to Richard Thompson, who is curating this year's Meltdown festival:
The Guardian talks to Martin Carthy and Tom Robinson about protest songs. There's a video, which took a while to download, but it's worth it (Tom Robinson channels Nina Simone; Martin Carthy remembers song titles by fingering out the chords). Here's the concert it's all about - sounds fun, though where's Leon Rosselson?
(Yesterday's paper also reviews Meltdown's Kate McGarrigle memorial concert).
