Thank you so much for the glimpse of the pottery. Byatt's at her best, I think, writing about things and their making. And as I've only just finished The Children's Book--I spun it out as long as possible--reading her on clay is perfect.

I don't always like Byatt, but when I do, I like her very much. I have the promise of a loan of The Children's Book, and am looking forward to it!
