Durham's Farmers' Market takes place on the third Thursday of the month: this morning it resumed, after a two-month hiatus (thank goodness for this diary, without which I would not have known that the March market did happen, and I made purchases there). In principle, I support this (and the Parish Council is giving practical aid, so I can say that [personal profile] durham_rambler supports it too). I would have liked to go into town and buy things. But we looked at the list of stallholders who would be there - the potter, the soap man, the paëlla stall, the man who makes jewellery out of spoons - a variety of stalls it would be entertaining to browse if you were here as a tourist, but I'm not ready to be a tourist yet.

Instead, my morning's shopping was placing a coffee order with Traidcraft. That doesn't sound like much of a morning's work, but my computer is misbehaving quite badly at the moment (tomorrow it goes to meet its maker, and we'll see if he thinks it can be fixed) and everything takes longer than it should.

This afternoon, with the excuse of a prescription to fill (or rather, to complete) at Boots, I shopped at Marks & Spencer, while [personal profile] durham_rambler went to Sainsbury's and bought himself a pair of slippers, to replace the ones which are falling apart.

This is what passes for an eventful day. In other news, I have started sorting out the stack of postcards on my desk.
