Things accomplished, things enjoyed.
Went swimming. Got flu jab, and delivered request for repeat prescription to GP. ( Cut for ranting. )
Met Gail at the Lit & Phil, and went to a lecture / presentation of the book An Alarming Incident - which was interesting, though not quite what either of us had expected. ( It's about disaster glasses. )
We lunched at Wagamama, where the waitress unnerved me a little by telling me that I had chosen their spiciest dish, and was I happy with that choice? I held my nerve, and while it was quite hot, it wasn't any hotter than you'd expect if you read the list of ingredients on the menu and saw that it included chili. Anyway, I enjoyed it.
And what with coffee, and TK Maxx (I didn't find what I was looking for, but I did buy some socks), and the continental market (sour cherries! now I can make
mrissa's Wild Rice Pudding With Sour Cherries!), that was the afternoon gone. And now the evening seems to have drifted away too...
