Lindisfarne flora

The lushness of the wild flowers on the cliffs on Sunday reminded me that I'd meant to post this from Lindisfarne: on our last full day - June 28th - on the island, we spent the morning walking, and when we got back I tried to list all the wild flowers I had seen.
Our route took us along the Heugh, down to St Cuthbert's beach then back up to the village. We made a small detour to the coast beyond the school, and back, then went as far as the end of the Causeway, and turned right onto the dunes, which we followed round, then back along the lane to the village.
We saw:
- daisies
- bird's foot trefoil
- thyme
- thrift
- bladder campion
- hawkweed - don't ask me which kind!
- poppies
- clover
- buttercups
- teazel (that one's a bit of a cheat, as they weren't really in bloom yet, not as they were on Sunday
- pink and purple orchids
- marsh helleborine (in the picture; I'd never seen it before)
- lousewort
- eyebright
- scarlet pimpernel
- viper's bugloss
- common centaury
- silverweed
- lady's smock
- speedwell - again, I don't know what kind
- various umbelliferae, probably including cow parsley
Later, driving along the main road, there were dog roses in the hedgerows, but I didn't see any that morning.
