Matters of the calendar

- It's Tenth Night, which means it's
desperance's birthday! Pour a libation to Fortune, that she may smile on him in the coming year.
- Last year's calendar was Ursula Vernon's Rodents We Have Known (and loved,
ursulav, and loved!) I thought when December ended it was all over, but no, there was a bonus Elder Porcupine! More calendars should do this.
- This year's calendar is by Sue Howells: the small images on the web site don't do her justice. January's picture is a winter walk, all sombre tones lashed with white - spray, or snow, could be either, but I can feel the cold wind.
Special bonus offer: The V & A has a Meissen vulture. Well, obviously...

This year's is highlights from Judy Chicago's The Dinner Party, mostly close-ups of the embroidery, which is lovely.
