Ode to the Inland Revenue*

My brain hurts, and a drowsy numbness pains
My sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk,
Or spent the last day and a half grappling with Captal Gains Tax for Trusts...

It's a long story, don't ask. But I think we're there now, and tomorrow I will write the cheque and send it off, and see what happens next...


*I can't very well claim that any pun here is unintended, since once I've conceded that there may be a pun, I can remove it, or accept the guilt of letting it stand. Instead, I'll blame Lindsay Davis, without whom I probably wouldn't have noticed it.
