Decisions, decisions...
May. 29th, 2007 09:53 pmI hate packing; it's nothing but decisions, one after the other - what will the weather be like? what will we want to do? how smartly will I need to dress? if I don't take these shoes, can I choose every day between the hiking boots and the sandals which are falling apart (and what if the sandals finally do fall apart)? what shall I take to read...?
We are, as you'll have guessed, planning totravel the Silk Road with a camel train spend the next week visiting some friends and family and having Days Out. It has taken us forever to plan this very simple holiday (decisions again) and the final piece fell into place this morning. We now have A Plan which pleases us both - I would like to be away longer,
durham_rambler would prefer not to be separated from his computer at all, and has been researching wifi hotspots, but that level of dissention is par for the course.
So we'll be away for a week, from tomorrow morning until the afternoon / evening of Wednesday June 6th. We'll try to check e-mail while we're away, but are unlikely to keep up with LiveJournal, so if there's anything we need to know, tell us, please. And now I'm going to move the suitcases off the bed, and crawl into it.
