The house has gradually cooled down over the weekend. On Saturday, the engineers offered us a choice of Monday morning or Monday afternoon for their return visit, and we'd bravely said "afternoon", so that we could swim this morning. And lo, our virtue was rewarded, because the engineer phoned to say, would it be terribly inconvenient if he came round this morning? So, after all, 'twas on a Monday morning..the gas man came to call.

And gradually the house is warming up again (while the wind hurls snow against the windows...

Thank you for doing the meme. And, while I love your picture, I am sorry to hear about your furnace issues. I have nightmares about major home appliances like that or the water heater biting the dust in the cold weather. I hope yours gets better soon!
