Hearts and Minds
Feb. 2nd, 2007 10:44 amThe Guardian's Friday films and music supplement has a feature (the kind you read, although you know it only irritates; I've posted about it before, when it was new) called "Readers Recommend", in which readers are invited to nominate songs on a given theme. Last week's theme was "unrequited love", which I thought was so broad as to be completely meaningless.
This week's theme (predictably, semi-seasonal) is "hearts".
durham_rambler and I thought as one: Tom Lehrer's I hold your hand in mine. What is even odder about this unanimity is that, of course, I hold your hand in mine has nothing to do with hearts, and what we meant to think was:
