shewhomustThe Guardian's 'Other Lives' recently included an obituary for printmaker Janet Stowell, illustrated with one of her linocuts. I liked it enough to go looking for more, but all I have found so far is a single woodcut for sale on Etsy.
That original image is dated by the Guardian as 'c.1978' so I suspect the artist flourished just a bit too early to make an impact on the internet. This is disappointing, but also obscurely satisfying: see, internet? some things escape you!
