Never had a hot cross bun? Whenever I forget just how foreign a country yours is, something happens to remind me.
I wouldn't call them savory (or even savoury); mostly they are slightly sweetened, though I find the fruit quite enough and don't add sugar. But maybe you just don't like fruit buns...
