I haven't posted lately. It isn't that I don't have anything to say, but I don't have anything useful to contribute. What I do have feels very trivial. Here's some high quality trivia, so that I can cook dinner with a clear conscience:
We visited J. for lunch yesterday. She saves small tasks for
durham_rambler. This time she asked him to check the antivirus software on her laptop, and to open a jar of olives. The olives were destined for a tapenade, which she had made before, and been pleased with: she promised us a pot when she had made it.
This afternoon she called on her way home from church, and handed over a small tub of tapenade. But, she said, it wasn't as good as the previous batch, because the olives she used last time were flavoured with basil. But all was not lost, because she had a pot of basil, and I was to pluck some leaves with which the flavour the tapenade.
So that's tomorrow's lunch sorted.
