shewhomustWe didn't, of course, keep that date to meet S. in the park last week "assuming the rain stops", because the rain didn't stop. Instead we agreed to get together over Zoom - and then her computer connection went down, and we had to defer that, too.
durham_rambler and I made use of the delay to go to the pharmacist, who had given me an IOU for part of the prescription they had filled a day or so earlier: one set of pills was not available in the dose prescribed by the GP, and they needed authorisation before they could issue me with a smaller dosage. So until the 20s are back in stock, I have to take eight 5mg pills among my morning selection: is it any wonder if we get confused about our medication? In fact the pharmacy were confused, too, and there's another pill of which they have given me two months' supply instead of three. So I have another IOU from them, to be filled at some future date.
We also took the opportunity to visit the farm shop, which reminded us that the coffee shop there is (partially) open again: serving coffee and light snacks on the patio. So we suggested to S. (in the course of that Zoom chat) that we reschedule our meeting for coffee there tomorrow morning.
