shewhomustI was caught by surprise yesterday, putting the dustbin out at half-past four, to find myself in the very last of the twilight: can the nights really be so dark already?
Yes, of course they can, and that is why this is the weekend of Lumière. We had vague plans to go out early, ahead of the crowds, and see some of the nearer pieces. But from my desk in the attic I can hear both the piano music from Rushford Court and the rain from the heavens, neither of which is very inviting...
