Going away now.
Jan. 21st, 2006 09:58 pmTomorrow we go away for ten days: Essex, Paris, Angoulême and then home. The thought of posting from foreign parts has a certain charm, but it's unlikely to happen -
Of course I'm not packed and ready. On the other hand, I have cleaned (and waxed) my boots, completed the first draft of Ann Cleeves' web site so she can blog from Shetland (had this jaunt not clashed with Angoulême I'd have been oh, so tempted), I have almost defrosted the fridge (there's still that one lump of ice behind the freezer compartment that won't come out), I have printed off some programme information from the Festival website, I have washed a batch of sheets and booked tickets for Alan Moore's talk about the Gothic Nightmares show at the Tate.
And we've fielded a last minute phone call from Bryan wanting to know where we are staying, as his hotel booking has fallen through: Maison Puits is a bit far out of town for his purposes, but we have assured him he has a bed if he needs one...
That's my cue...
