Also, with my ex-husband we went to this place in Tuscany in Greve where we paid something like 20 eurones I think it was, for tasting ourselves through the most indecent of glorious wines. One bought a card and loaded it with whatever money one was capable and or willing to spend and then had the choice inbetween hundreds of varieties, all from the surrounding wineries. In my humble opinion, some of the middle-of-the road were best, at least regarding the price-quality correlance. The cheapest tasted like stable and the final Brunello almost blew our wigs off but it exploded in so many ways, I´m not sure I got the message.
The wine formerly known as Clos de Gilroy seems like one worthwhile knowing.
