Is there a guiding creator at work behind Terry Wogan's radio show? Does the choice of music have a meaning? [livejournal.com profile] durham_rambler thinks so. He points to this morning's God-slot, in which Father Brian Darcy talked about a book of celebrity answers to such questions as Is there a God? and What is inner peace?. Bono, for example, was quoted as believing that love and intelligence drive the universe, and that the idea that these took form in a child born is poverty was mind-blowing.

The record which followed immediately after this section was James Taylor's Sweet Baby James:
Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep
But singing works just fine for me...

Me too.

ETA: The record in the spotlight this morning was Paul Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years, which is so blatant that even Wogan noticed it.
