I lay there and thought of Chaz in transit, and decided that on the whole half-an-hour of dentistry was less disagreeable than a 12 hour flight via Heathrow. Glad to see he made it!
Martin Simpson (http://www.martinsimpson.com/), greatest living guitarist, used to live in California, but I don't know if he ever plays there now - definitely worth hearing if he does (ask Chaz, once he wakes up).
