shewhomust: (puffin)
I have just turned over the page on the puffin calendar by my desk (not to be confused with the puffin calendar in the kitchen) so this is my last opportunity to record how much I have enjoyed June's picture of a juvenile puffin.

I can occasionally be heard grumbling that the brightly coloured puffins in the pictures are not seasonally adjusted, that a puffin is for life, not just for the mating season.

I like the brightly coloured clown beaks and the little red feet as much as anyone, maybe more - but a black and white bird peering out of its burrow is good too, and this is the first time I've seen one in years of puffin calendars.

Well done, Graffeg!
