Matt Haynes e-mails to say that there is a new issue of smoke magazine (subtitle: "a london peculiar") out now. smoke is a love letter to London, but a very domestic one; a love letter from the stage in a relationship when the glamour of the historic monuments and tourist attractions has passed, a love letter to someone you've been living with for ages and just want to tell that you're still crazy about their less obvious charms. There's a regular feature on the 'Bus of the Month' for example (this issue, the N50, the night bus from Trafalgar Square to Galleons Reach). It's good on photographs, too.

In addition, Matt has now started a blog. Finding that smoke, idiosyncratic though it is, does not quite meet his need for self-expression, he has added danger - void behind door to his media empire. If you like it, you'll probably like smoke, too. And if not, not.
