kelpercomehome continues her travels: we are now in Hong Kong, taken the hidden path past the Bee Farm to the Monastery of the 10,000 buddhas. This picture shows the monastery, with the buddhas nested up every available surface, very much like bees in a hive - but also like the nine hundred grandmothers in R. A. Lafferty's story:

"Living dolls! They were here in rows on the shelves, and sitting in small chairs in their niches. Doll-sized indeed, and several hundres of them."
