We've been out this morning and captured a haggis to serve to our guests this evening. But here's the Scotsman's haggiscam, for anyone who's still hunting.

I'm feeling nicely mellow from a Scottish themed lunch at the restaurant at Hammersmith catering college - a retirement do at work.

The food was excellent, even if the service was occasionally a little slow. And it's excellent value for money.

And yes, haggis with neeps was on the menu. (I had the lamb...)

One of our guests was Frances, who used to lecture in catering at New College, and occasionally invited us to their restaurant. We found, as you did, that the food was usually excellent, but the service occasionally - shall we say, "bewildered"?
