Indulge me ...

It is my birthday*, and I am spending it much as I would any other day.**

I have shopped for vegetables (i.e. I have placed an order with the greengrocer) and I am in the process of shopping for cheese (waiting for a call-back, which means also that the phone calls I might have been making are deferred). There is washing in the machine, and I am playing with some more photos of Shetland. I've just reached Sumburgh Head.

If we were not locked down - well, actually, if we were not locked down, we still couldn't have gone out for the day, because

durham_rambler had a committee meeting. From which he has just emerged, and gone to make a pot of tea, And I've now paid for my cheese order, which is on its way here.

So all is well.

*Not a plea for birthday greetings. Really not.

**Which means, of course, that I am lucky enough to spend every day much as if it were my birthday.
