Thank you for your good wishes. I drove home uneventfully, M has temporarily vacated the premises in the hope that my infectiousness may decrease over the next couple of days. Meanwhile I will sleep in the spare room which is also my study.

I think everybody at the summer school arranged their classes differently. They sorted out on-line access for me, which although it wasn't perfect was much better than nothing. We had a class on Friday afternoon, but at a time which meant that I could go for a (self-isolating) walk round the Botanics beforehand, which was nice, and then another class this morning before I set off.

Izzy isn't quite sure whether I am me or some scary doppelganger (it is possible that I may smell wrong), but I believe I should also keep away from her as pets can get Covid. This will be hard as cats cannot be reasoned with.

I am sorry to have missed seeing you, Durham_rambler and S, but such things happen. Fingers crossed for next year.
