The history is very vague. The place names are different as well, although I think there's a city mentioned that has a steam organ like the one in Hannart(?) (I'm vague with names, too). One of the speakers at the conference described a letter or an earlier manuscript that explains how Emily found herself in Dalemark - I've not had a chance (yet) to go to Seven Stories and poke around in the material there, and I'd love to. Of course, I don't remember which speaker, but at least we'll get copies of everyone's papers!

I'm curious - I hadn't realized that Everard's Ride was also a Dalemark? I've only read it the once, just for completion, and hadn't remembered that.
