I believe this is one of the books on which the dreadful film King Arthur was based. I seem to remember swisstone commenting it over on his blog, not at all favourably, but can't be bothered to find it.

I'm amazed you managed to find a favourable review, as I've always seen it mentioned in rather more... er... robust terms.
